'Can't Buy Me Love' by Waconzy - Song Review.

Waconzy has paid his dues in the music industry as he has been active for over 10 years and still going at it. A few days ago, Waconzy added another single under his music belt titled 'Can't Buy Me Love' and so far, it's doing good according to his label. Here's what I think of his new single.

First of all, I want to commend the production team on the song as they came solid and delivered on the track. The engineering, sound, the mixing, and mastering were topnotch. Also, the producer did an excellent job with the strings in the instrumental which made it catchy as you don't get that type of sound as much these days.

Secondly, Waconzy, with his flow on the track, made the song quite catchy and bearable but unfortunately, these weren't enough factors to make the song great as it had a lot of errors in my opinion. first of all, I felt the lyrics were weak and substandard to the reputation Waconzy has in the music industry. Waconzy is an artiste who has made iconic hits in the past so I expected more from him, but on this track, his delivery was not satisfactory. Also, there were lots of repetitions and recycling of the same slangs in the song. As an artiste, you should try to be distinctive and avoid repetition and recycled sounds.

Furthermore, for a song titled 'Can't Buy Me Love', I expected more of a love song and romance but unfortunately, the lyrics did not correlate with the tile. Not once did he sing about anyone being his love, instead, he sounded rather confident while professing his love for her which opposes the title of the song.

At this level, an artist like Waconzy should be dropping topnotch music and nothing less. As for me, 'Can't Buy Me Love' falls under the category of nothing less. With his experience, the build-up, lyrics, production, and production should be excellent. Nothing short.
